J 'ai trouvé (1,50€) ce Conus (Pionoconus) striatus un matin (13/09/2009) sur la brocante de Colombes. Conus (Pionoconus) striatus aux couleurs et formes étranges. La couleur est marron, la spire haute et bien gorgée, le corps très lisse au toucher et la forme générale plus fuselée. Il viendrait de Hawaï d' après la photo ( n° 18, pl 44) de RKK et la description qui en est faite, notamment l' apex (larval whorls) rose plutôt qu'orange. Taille: 74 mm.
Mais pourrait-être un Conus striatus f. subfloridus!!!!!!
I bought this Conus (Pionoconus) (1.50 €) on flea market Colombes (13/09/2009). Conus (Pionoconus) striatus with colors and strange shapes. The color is clear brown, the spiral high and dig, the body is very smooth to the touch and more general form tapered. It comes from Hawaii according to the picture (No. 18,pl 44) of RKK and the description, including the apex (larval whorls) pink rather orange. I think instead from French Polynesia. Size: 74 mm.
